PSC implements online grant application system
The new Public Service Commission (PSC) Grants System streamlines the application process for grant opportunities offered by the PSC. To be considered for the grant opportunity detailed below, applications must be submitted using the PSC Grants System.
Medical Telecommunications Equipment Program
The Medical Telecommunications Equipment Program is a grant program under the Universal Service Fund that enables non-profit medical clinics or public health agencies to apply for funding to purchase medical telecommunications equipment (Wis. Admin. Code § PSC 160.115).
On a fiscal year basis, up to $500,000 may be available to purchase medical telecommunications equipment that will promote technologically advanced medical services, enhance access to medical care in rural or underserved areas of the state or to underserved populations or to persons with disabilities. Purchase of the telecommunications equipment must promote technologically advanced medical services, enhance access to medical care in rural or undeserved areas of the state, or enhance access to medical care to underserved populations or persons with disabilities in the state.
Who is eligible to apply
Applicant must be a nonprofit medical clinic or hospital that is governed by a board of directors, serves federally designated health professional areas, medically underserved areas, or medically underserved populations or is a public health agency.
