Overview
In Wisconsin, the transportation sector is the state’s largest energy user when comparing economy-wide energy use by sector (WI Energy Statistics Portal). Vehicle electrification is a key solution to reducing petroleum use and decarbonizing the transportation sector.
The Office of Energy Innovation, the State's Energy Office, develops and provides incentive programs like the
Energy Innovation Grant Program (EIGP) to advance zero-emission vehicles in Wisconsin (including electric vehicles, or EVs) and supports transportation recommendations in the
Clean Energy Plan.
Review the Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change Report
