Overview
The Wisconsin Refueling Readiness (WRR) grant program is designed to facilitate the fueling of emergency vehicles during a major power outage by expanding the network of designated disaster fueling facilities throughout the state. Grants are provided to fueling stations and bulk petroleum storage facilities to install wiring for a generator to restore power to the fueling/distribution area as quickly as possible.
Who is Eligible to Apply
- Privately-owned bulk petroleum storage facilities
- Municipal, County, and Tribal community-owned highway shops
- Private, Municipal, County, and Tribal-owned convenience stores with both unleaded and diesel fuel availability

| No. OEI opened the fourth grant round of this program on December 8, 2023. The application period closed on April 30, 2024. Future rounds of funding for this program are dependent on Commission approval.
