The Wind Siting Council is an advisory body with members appointed by the Commission. The
Wind Siting Council was created by the legislature with passage of
2009 Wisconsin Act 40 in order to advise the PSC during its wind siting rulemaking (docket 1-AC-231) and to survey and study on an ongoing basis the impacts of wind energy systems and regulatory developments regarding the siting of wind energy systems. The council is a public body, and their meetings are open to the public.

Current Notices of Wind Siting Council meetings will be filed in annual dockets with the format 5-WF-(Calendar Year). For 2024, information is in docket 5-WF-2024.
