Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMF)
Concerns about exposure to EMF and the potential for human health effects are frequently expressed during the Commission's review process for electric utility construction projects. Because of this concern, Commission staff have been actively monitoring research on EMF and its potential for causing human health effects for over 20 years. Consideration of EMF exposure is a regular part of the Commission staff's review process for electric utility construction cases.
