Wind Siting Council

The Wind Siting Council is an advisory body with members appointed by the Commission.  2009 Wisconsin Act 40 established the Wind Siting Council, which is a public body, and their meetings are open to the public. The Wind Siting Council was created by the legislature to advise the Public Service Commission during its wind siting rulemaking (see docket 1-AC-231) and to survey and study on an ongoing basis the impacts of wind energy systems and regulatory developments regarding the siting of wind energy systems.

Notices of Wind Siting Council meetings will be filed in docket 5-GF-228.
