Intervenor Compensation Grant
Under s. 196.31 (2m), the Public Services Commission of Wisconsin may award up to $300,000 in annual grants to organizations who are non-stock, nonprofit corporations, as described under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and who have a history of advocating on behalf of Wisconsin ratepayers in Commission proceedings. Grant funding is available to offset the general expenses of the corporation, such as salary, benefit, rent, and utility expenses. If you or your organization is interested in competing for this grant, please note the current grant timeline:
Successful applicants will show that they will be dedicated and committed advocates of ratepayers at Commission proceedings on water, electricity, gas and telecommunication services. A grant application is available on the PSC website.
