The types of telecommunication equipment approved for purchase using a TEPP voucher dated September 1, 2004 or later can be viewed in the following pdf file (14 kb).  For vouchers dated before September 1, 2004, see the back of the voucher for the approval equipment list. Customers are responsible for the $100 co-payment (with the exception of those customers using a hard-of-hearing voucher and those customers that have received approval for TAP [Telecommunication Assistance Program]). The equipment is listed by disability categories.

Items listed that have asterisks are considered “base devices.” Only one base device can be purchased with a voucher for the Hard of Hearing, Deaf or Severely Hard of Hearing, and Speech Impaired categories.

Equipment not on this list may be covered, but will require preapproval and will only be considered on a case-by-case basis. Any “promotional groupings” that include both TEPP approved equipment and non-approved equipment will be covered only if the price of the package is less than the cost of the TEPP approved items purchased separately at the manufactured suggested retail price (MSRP).
